Limited liability and indemnity
Last updated 1 September 2026. This page describes how this shop works in plain English. It is not legal advice.
What is never limited
Nothing here limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of the terms implied by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 about title, description, quality and fitness;
- defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987;
- anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
The live page this replaced tried to exclude liability for injury and to cap everything at £97. A term like that is not effective against a consumer in the United Kingdom, and we would rather say so than publish it.
What is limited
Subject to the section above, our liability for any claim connected with a product is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, so far as the law allows.
Using a product safely
Follow the instructions supplied with the product and any age or weight limit stated on its page. Nursery products are aids, not substitutes for supervision: a bed guard, a playpen and a high chair all assume an adult is still watching. If a product arrives damaged or looks wrong, do not use it, and contact us.
This site's content
The guides and articles on this site are general information written to help you choose, not professional advice. Where a decision affects a child's safety, follow the manufacturer's instructions and, where it matters, ask a health visitor or your GP.
